The White City of Ostuni
As you approach Ostuni from the coastal motorway, you cannot help be impressed by the the old town, gleaming white in the warm Italian sunshine. The old town is is full of restaurants, shops selling local foods and crafts, and cafes but also take time to explore the maze of ancient streets and alleyways where you will suddenly find yourself in front of an old church or piazza where you can stop for a coffee with the locals.
For most of the year you can indulge in quiet walks through olive groves or along deserted beaches around the Ostuni area but during the summer months it becomes a popular destination and is transformed from a place of nature and solitude into a bustling town filled with tourists and local celebrations.
