Culinary Experience
No trip to Italy is complete without having at least learnt to make pasta from scratch!
One of the finest ways to experience the real Pugliese cooking is to have a cookery lesson with Gianna, in a clean modern purpose built teaching kitchen.
The lessons are restricted to small groups with each participant having their own individual preparation area. All the ingredients and equipment needed to prepare the dishes will be provided by the school.

We want you to have a fun and memorable holiday so once you have settled in at your Trullo, Masseria or Villa, why not experience some of the wonderful sights and sounds that this region has to offer. There is so much to see and do that you will find yourself wanting to return time and time again!
Visit the historical centres of the surrounding hilltop towns, such as Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca or Ostuni, on their weekly market days or when celebrating one of the many festivals held during the summer months. Further south is the town of Lecce, known as the 'Florence of the South', Otranto, Galipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, all worth visiting.
There are also the UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Alberobello, Castel di Monte and nearby Matera to visit.
What a choice! With more than 700km of coastline washed by the Adriatic and Ionian seas Puglia has no shortage of beautiful beaches to visit, from tiny coves to large expanses of gently sloping sand, backed by dunes or pines, olive trees to commercialised areas with everything available from loungers, bars, restaurants through to water sports.
The choice is yours, pop down to the nearest or local beach or travel a few miles up the road for that hidden gem where you might be the only person. There are many private beaches that offer sun beds, showers, covered parking, etc for a small fee, so watch out for the signs.
The sea is invariably warm till late in the autumn ans peaking in August. The sea temperature is about 26C degrees, and can be over 20 degrees in October.

Hiring a bike during your holiday is the perfect way for you to explore the local area, keep the children amused and get some exercise. Many of the rental properties in Puglia are in the countryside with plenty of access to quiet lanes and little used roads where you will see ancient olive groves, vineyards and, of course, the trulli which are dotted about the countryside. So round off your day with a quiet evening spent cycling the safe country lanes around your villa enjoying the true atmosphere of Puglia.
We can arrange bike hire so that it will be delivered directly to your holiday property.
Virtually every town in Puglia has an annual celebration of some description: beer, traditional food festas, carnivals, religious and pagan festivals, many of which take place during the summer months. These festivals are family friendly affairs, where even very children can be seen running around well after midnight.
Many other religious feast days are also celebrated throughout the year and most towns have a patron saint whom they honour annually in suitable fashion.
The favoured sport of Italians is football however golf is becoming more widespread and there are now a number of golf clubs to choose from in the locality.
